4. Specifics on Location Data Collection and Use (For Delivery Tracking)

Our app collects your location data to enable delivery tracking, even when the app is closed or not in use.

4.1 Type and Timing of Collection

We collect Precise Location (via GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular network triangulation). This is primarily collected from users acting as drivers or delivery personnel and is collected:

  • While the app is running in the foreground.
  • Crucially, while the app is closed or not in use (running in the background), provided the user is logged in as an active delivery driver and has granted the necessary permissions.

4.2 Purpose of Location Data Use

This information is used solely to update delivery progress and display your real-time location to customers and dispatchers. This is essential for providing expected delivery service functionality.

4.3 Sharing and Storage

  • Sharing: Your current, real-time location is shared only with the customer who has an active delivery assigned to you and our internal dispatch team.
  • Third Parties: We do not share this data with any other third parties.
  • Storage: Location data is stored securely and retained only for the duration necessary for delivery and historical tracking/support purposes, after which it is securely deleted.

4.4 User Control

You can disable location permissions at any time through your device settings; however, doing so will prevent you from being able to accept or fulfill delivery requests as a driver.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or destruction. It is important to remember that no transmission method over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
